Why your kids need to take a train trip this summer

Well, to help them see and discover the world from the ground up, that’s why. Train trips can be a great adventure for you and your children. Rushing to school, rushing to after school events, rushing to get the latest test or tweet is numbing whether you’re five or fifty.

Of course we know that trains are a type of pubic transportation. And we know that trains are able to move a large number of people at one time. The best things about trains are that they are environmentally friendly. This is true, because even though trains are full of people, they do no pollute as much as an equivalent number of cars would to transport the same number of people.

Other benefits for a family trip:

  • No waiting for security

  • Seats that recline

  • Legroom galore

  • Wider train aisles

There’s more:

You can enjoy the scenery – see interesting landscapes that you just fly over or miss on high-speed interstate highways.

You can meet interesting people and really connect.

You can enjoy a good selection of dining car meals and refreshments   You have time to read and relax.

Plus:

The kids can have fun learning geography with digital apps and/or board games.
